PLEASE READ!!! Macremi Productions (http://www.macremi.com/) is excited to be hosting the casting call for their next short film, “Please Punish Me”. It is a short comedy directed by Chris Esper from a script by Rich Camp and story by Tom Paolino. The film tells the story about a Scottie, whose life is too good. Whenever anything good happens to him, everyone around him receives the negative side of his positive gain. So, he seeks to be punished for his “curse”. We’ll be having our casting call on Saturday June 29th from 12:00pm-4:00pm and Saturday July 6th from 12:00pm-4:00pm. This will take place at The Artist Exchange (50 Rolfe Square, Cranston, RI). We’ll be casting for the following roles: – Scottie (Lead Male; late 20’s/30’s): A dissatisfied businessman, who’s life has not gone down the path he wanted. He’s finding success in his job, but feels he does nothing to deserve it. – Michelle (Lead Female; 20’s/early 30’s): A dominatrix, who, like Scottie, is dissatisfied with the path her life has gone down. – Steinberg (Supporting Male; 50’s): Scottie’s boss. Oblivious to everything around him. Too corporate to have a personality. – Tigs (Supporting Male; late 20’s/30’s): Scottie’s friend and co-worker. A content underachiever. – Crueger (Supporting Male; late 30’s-50’s): Worker at the Punish Me Palace. An ageless hunchback. – Do-Rey-Mi (Supporting Female; 50’s): Owner of the Punish Me Palace. Dominate presence. Sexy. We are holding auditions by appointment only. Seeing as I am a recently graduated film student, it is only fitting that I put my newly found free time to good use by writing a screenplay. This is a standard cliche that all jobless young adults do once they have earned their degree in Production, and I figure now is as good a time as ever to get crackin’ on it. Alas, knowing full well that I have zero connections in the industry and a negative income, the production value of said film will be next to nothing if it ever is going to be produced, and would undoubtably be an independent film with next to no budget.

August Burns Red have been pushing metalcore’s boundaries for the last ten years, and in that time have released four spectacular albums of original content. The band is now ready to release their fifth studio album, Rescue & Restore, which was produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, and will be released on June 25th via Solid State Records.
Yesterday the band released a new track from the upcoming album entitled, “Spirit Breaker.” This track starts off with a slow instrumental, but you are then the full band kicks in, and then you get the full picture of the music at hand. The lyrics in this are very well thought out, especially the spoken word part provided by Jake Luhrs. The excellent guitar playing of both Brent Rambler and JB Brubaker is also represented well on this track, as it shows an excellent level of virtuosity especially when it…
